Hi. I’m the
whole company.

Slow Bear Systems is one person — me. I design, build, host, and quietly look after websites. No team to hide behind, no office, no account manager named Brad. Just one slightly obsessive human who genuinely likes making the web a little less annoying.

Why this exists.

I started Slow Bear because I watched too many small businesses get a raw deal — handed a bloated template, charged a small fortune, then ghosted the moment something broke. That’s a rotten way to treat people who just want a decent website.

So I do the opposite. One person who actually replies, builds things properly, and sticks around. Your website isn’t a project I finish and forget — it’s something I look after, like a slightly needy houseplant that happens to bring you customers.

I’m a builder at heart. When I’m not making websites, I’m usually taking something apart to see how it works (and occasionally putting it back together). That curiosity is the whole reason your site ends up fast, sturdy, and a little bit clever.

No jargon, no upselling, no pretending a five-page site needs a six-month “discovery phase.” Just honest work, done well, kept running.

Six things I
actually believe.

01

You’re never lost in a queue

No support portal, no "your ticket has been escalated to tier 2," no being passed between five strangers. Replies are fast, in plain English, and anything that actually needs me gets me.

02

Custom-built, not templated

No page builders, no theme graveyards. Every site is designed for your business and built to last — not bolted together from spare parts.

03

Quality doesn’t get cut as I grow

Every site gets the same obsessive attention, whether you’re client number 3 or client number 300. The whole setup is built to keep that promise at any size.

04

No surprise invoices

One monthly fee, explained in plain English. If something will cost extra, you know before it does, not after.

05

Boring where it counts

Backups, security, uptime: the unglamorous plumbing that keeps you out of trouble. I find it weirdly satisfying.

06

A little weird, on purpose

Websites should have personality, yours included. Beige is not a brand strategy, and "clean and minimal" is not a substitute for an idea.

The honest README.

Let’s make something
weird and good.

Tell me about your business and what you need. You’ll hear back within two business days — usually sooner.
