Sunlit interior of Fern & Filo shop with potted plants and warm natural light pouring through large windows.
A shop with a pulse

Curated for
the everyday.

Small-batch pantry goods, hand-thrown ceramics, and living greenery from growers we know by name. Everything we carry has a story worth telling.

What's in store

We rotate our shelves seasonally, but these departments are always here to wander through.

The interior of Fern & Filo showing wooden shelves, warm lighting, and a customer browsing potted plants.

Started at the kitchen table.

Fern & Filo opened in the spring of 2019 — or, more accurately, spilled from the windowsill onto a card table at the Junction Farmers Market. We were the pair with too many propagated pothos and too much confidence in a grapefruit-and-rosemary shrub recipe.

Five years later, we're still small. Still picky about what makes it to the shelf. We carry ceramics from a potter in Dundas, honey from hives outside Elora, and candles poured in batches of twelve.

We believe a neighbourhood shop should feel like an exhale. Warm wood, good light, something blooming in the corner.
